TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Clean Queen, LLC (“Clean Queen”) is a locally owned and operated business. Our employees are fully bonded and insured. We pay all federal, state, Social Security, and Medicare payroll taxes.
Agreement
These Terms and Conditions are agreed upon between Clean Queen and the Client. These Terms and Conditions are incorporated into the Scope of Work as if they were part of the same document. The Scope of Work may apply terms not stated here.
Additional Services
Any services outside of the Scope of Work, including the cleaning of rooms not originally included in the bid, are considered add–ons and additional fees apply. All add-ons must be processed through the office, and not through Clean Queen’s cleaning techs. Cleaning techs are not authorized to deviate from the Scope of Work without prior approval from management. Our base fee is based on several factors including the size of the home and the rooms we clean.
Deposits
We charge a $150 deposit for all first-time services, which is due upon booking. The deposit is refundable only if the services are canceled in writing more than two business days before the scheduled time. The deposit will be charged upon booking and will be credited to your account and applied toward the cleaning’s total once services are complete.
Lock-out policy
Please be sure we can enter your home, either by being home, providing us with a hidden key, a code, or by leaving a door unlocked/open. We encourage all our clients to provide an alternate method of entry to eliminate this problem (door code, garage code, hidden key, etc). If we arrive for a scheduled service and are unable to access your home or you turn our technicians away, a lockout fee will be charged. Any deposit paid will be applied to the lockout fee.
- A 50% lockout fee will be charged for recurring services and initial services.
- A 75% lockout fee will be charged for one-time services and move-out services.
Cancellations
Services may be terminated at any time by either party for any reason. Please kindly give two business days’ written notice for all canceled appointments. Failure to provide a two-business day cancellation notice will result in forfeiture of any deposit and a cancellation fee. Any deposit paid will be applied to the cancellation fee. Services may only be canceled within two business days of the services without incurring a cancellation fee due to an emergency or illness, in Clean Queen’s sole discretion. Reschedules made less than two business days prior to the service are considered cancellations.
- A 25% cancellation fee will be charged for all cancellations with less than two business days written notice for recurring services and initial services.
- A 50% cancellation fee will be charged for all cancellations with less than two business days written notice for one-time services and move-out services. For Monthly customers, you are only allowed to skip a service without a cancellation fee once per calendar year. The next service will be a Deep Clean at an additional cost.
Arrival Times
Due to the time-consuming, unpredictable nature of cleaning, Clean Queen cannot guarantee the exact time of arrival. We reserve the right to arrive and depart between the hours of 8:45 am to 4:00 pm. For your convenience we can give you an estimated block of time to expect our arrival; however, we reserve the right to arrive earlier or later than the estimated arrival time due to circumstances beyond our control such as traffic conditions, staffing changes, client cancellations, etc.
Payment
Payment is due at time of service. All major credit cards are accepted. Appointments are only guaranteed with a credit card on file. Clean Queen does not accept checks or cash payments.
Tipping
Tipping is not required, but always appreciated! If you choose to leave a cash tip, please place with a note clearly marked “tip”. Our staff is not allowed to take any money that is not clearly marked “tip”. You may also call or email our office to request that a tip be added on to your credit card payment or mark it on your scorecard.
Quote
Prices and hours are based on the rooms we clean and on your accurate description of the condition of your home. Since we are quoting the home sight unseen, we will provide a free labor hour for one-time and move out jobs if needed. If we find the condition is not consistent with your description, we will call you and ask for a time adjustment and price increase. If we cannot reach you and you have not pre-approved additional time, we will only stay the amount of time you paid for, and quality will be compromised and is not guaranteed by our satisfaction guarantee.
Supplies
Clean Queen will provide all cleaning equipment and supplies with the exception of trash can liners, which are to be provided by the Client. Our technicians are trained to use our products effectively and safely. Requiring our technicians to use products or equipment not provided by Clean Queen may incur an additional $50 charge per service, may result in prolonged services, and may void the Guarantee Appliances, furniture, boxes, and miscellany: We do not move furniture, refrigerators, stoves or washers/dryers to clean under and behind them, even if they are on wheels.
Trash
We do not move large amounts of trash. We will place up to two kitchen-sized garbage bags of trash in the curbside container, but there is an addon charge of $10 per additional bag.
Other service providers
For the safety of our technicians, the security of your home and the quality of our service, we request that there be no other service providers (movers, carpet cleaners, plumbers, carpenters, etc.) in the home when we perform our services. If other service providers are present, we will do our best to work around them, but too many interruptions in our cleaning procedure may prevent us from completing the job in the amount of time estimated and may compromise the quality of our services. More time may be available for purchase, or we may need to adjust what tasks we can accomplish to compensate for a lack of time. We cannot guarantee the quality of our work if other service providers are present, and we will not re-clean when a service provider comes in after us to do work. The Client agrees that if other service providers do interrupt or compromise our services, Clean Queen is not liable for lost time or reduced quality of service. For Move-Out services, we require that no other service providers are present.
Health & Safety
For health reasons, our technicians will not handle any type of animal or human waste. The Client agrees that Clean Queen is not responsible for cleaning up such waste and that such cleaning is not within the Scope of Work. Technicians are only allowed to use a short step ladder (that we provide) during our services, this means that we are unable to service the upper bunks of bunk beds, including tidying and changing the sheets. Client agrees not to smoke indoors during service. Should Client smoke indoors during service, the technician may immediately cease work and leave without completing the service.
Non-solicitation agreement
The Client agrees not to solicit employment of any of Clean Queen employee for similar employment (cleaning, maid, etc.) within Clean Queen’s geographical service area, so long as the Client remains a client of Clean Queen and for a period of twelve months following termination of Clean Queen’s services to the Client. Violation of this provision will result in a $2,500 recruitment and training fee charged to the Client, which is due immediately upon receipt of the notice of violation.
Weather
Clean Queen will be closed for business when severe road conditions prevent Adams County12 School District Public Schools from opening. We will email you to reschedule.
Holidays
Clean Queen will be open for regular business during all national holidays except: New Years Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. If your regularly scheduled cleaning falls on one of these days your clean will be automatically rescheduled.
Guarantee
Our service is guaranteed, and we will re-clean the unsatisfactory areas if you are not satisfied. To be eligible for the guarantee, we must be notified in writing within 24 hours of the cleaning that it was unsatisfactory, and we must be allowed to return and fix the areas you are unhappy with. When possible, you or your representative should walk through the house with us at the end of the cleaning. If you’re still not 100% satisfied after we come back, within reason (some stains cannot be removed), we will offer a refund. In addition, any suggestions that you may have to help us improve the quality of service are very much appreciated.
Breakage/Damage
Clean Queen‘s technicians take great care when cleaning your home, but occasionally accidents do happen. If you witness our technicians break/damage an item, please notify us immediately so that we may take the appropriate action. Disclaimer: Clean Queen is not responsible for breakage due to normal wear and tear; deterioration caused by age; damage caused through requested services (moving a fridge/oven); or damage caused by improper assembly, construction or mounting of an item. The services we provide may require the use of force/pressure, chemical (cleaning) solutions, moving small items, and/or attempting to clean what appears to be removable dirt/dust but is not, which may result in damage to property. Client agrees that Clean Queen will not be held liable for damage to property when Clean Queen uses reasonable care in the course of its services.
Disputes
In any action arising hereunder, including mediation, or any separate action pertaining to the validity of these Terms and Conditions, the prevailing party shall be awarded reasonable attorney’s fees and costs, both in the trial court and on appeal. “Prevailing party” is defined as the party that received substantially the relief requested, whether by settlement, dismissal, summary judgment, judgment, or otherwise.
Client Photo Use
We take pride in our work, and occasionally, we’d like to snap some photos to capture the beauty of your home post-clean. Your privacy matters to us, and we’ll never share personal information or details in these photos. By continuing to use Clean Queen, you agree to let us take and use these photos as described above. If you ever have any concerns about this, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
Communications
Our technicians are friendly and approachable, so feel free to engage in conversation if you wish. Remember that doing so may result in delays to our service, so please do not be offended if technicians must focus on their work. Additionally, any derogatory, insulting, harassing, or sexual comments are unacceptable and will result in the technicians immediately ceasing work and leaving without completing the service. Clean Queen does not tolerate clients who harass technicians, including questions about their relationship status. Client further agrees not to touch the technicians, which violation may also result in the technicians immediately ceasing work and leaving without completing the service. Violation of this provision will also result in forfeiture of your deposit, your removal as a client, and may result in criminal charges.
Severability
All parties agree that should any term or condition stated be found to be in conflict with local or state laws, then the remaining conditions and portions of conditions shall be held valid and enforced as though the invalid statement were excluded.
Construction and Interpretation
The rule requiring construction or interpretation against the drafter is waived. The document shall be deemed as if it were drafted by both parties in a mutual effort. Section headings are solely for convenience and are not part of these Terms and Conditions. They will not be used for interpretation of the validity of these Terms and Conditions or any of its provisions.
